These notes were written in 1999; they are likely to be out of date now. Caveat lector! In any case, I believe the best way to revise for any exam is to make your own notes from wherever you can find reliable information, e.g. textbooks. But perhaps my notes will be helpful all the same. Good luck with your exams.

Chemistry

You can view the Chemistry notes online on this web page but the quality of the HTML conversion is quite poor. The best way to read them (or even print them) is to download the PDF version. You'll need a PDF viewer.

Physics

Here are Physics notes for the last two modules I did, PH08 and PH09.

Copying these notes

If you want to copy these notes for your own web site, fine, but please (1) also copy the images so that I don't pay for your bandwidth, and (2) warn the reader that the notes might be out of date.

Credits

Some additions in these notes are from my friend Ian Davison, whose help was much appreciated.

Thanks also to all the teachers who supported me through my A-level work. You never forget a good teacher, and ten years later I can still remember then all, so credit goes to Mrs T James and Mr G White (chemistry teachers), and Mr D Porter and Mr A Granville (physics teachers), and Mr D Small, Mr P Goodger, Mrs Pugh and Mrs L Thomas (maths teachers).
